Hardscaping
Hardscaping is such an important part of the landscape. Too often, we focus on the plants, but rocks, flagstone, and hard surfaces can provide much needed definition and interest to the landscape. Stone steps can provide a great transition between a lawn and patio. A dry creekbed can provide visual interest in an area where it is difficult to grow plants. A flagstone patio is a wonderful entertaining surface when you want something different than concrete. Hardscaping includes vertical elements as well – arbors, trellises, pergolas, etc.
